What wheel size have you got and are you sure its not coming from the rear.
Sounds to me like something stuck between caliper and disk/hub or rear drum e-brake shoe inside rear disk.

stock 19" wheels. It's definitely coming from the front. I talked to a mechanic, took him for a ride. he thought it may be the caliper, one of the pistons not releasing all the way. I said that it would make sense, except the noise doesn't go away when I step on the brakes... he said to drop the car off and leave it with him for a day. I might have to do that next week if I can't figure it out over the weekend

It's probably something simple, I just can't see it when I have the car on the ground...

well doesn't look like its got anything to do with the brakes. I pulled the calipers off the front and the back wheel on the passenger side... one at a time of course, took it for a drive, and the noise is still there. i took the rotor off the back to make sure it wasn't the e-brake pads rubbing on the inside. took it for a drive, noise still there... I'm starting to think I may need a new front spindle or something. There might be something slightly bent there that I just can't see

We have a track GT 500 Mustang with a similar issue. Noise in the front but front checks out clean. Car is on the track this weekend. New axles and bearings. Focusing on rear brakes. Will post if we learn anything.

yup it was the driveshaft rubbing on a piece of debris... i guess someone ran something over and it was wedged between the exhaust and the driveshaft. slight shift of weight cause the noise.

I love it when a seemingly difficult issue becomes so painless.

The beauty of having a lift! Glad it worked out but damn, that thing ate up a lot of resources needlessly. I guess that's part of flipping stuff though.

yup... extra $200 I didn't have to spend. Oh well, could have been worse. Good thing I didn't buy new hub assemblies for $500 each
