Bumpy Stiff Ride with Malfunction light
I've read just about all i can find on this subject. My 07 S550 has the dreaded malfunction light so it rides like a low rider right now. here is what i've done so far. passenger side front strut was bad, replaced it. had a code that said the ABS speed sensor was bad on same side, replaced that. Replaced the airmatic pump. Car holds air on all four corners, can raise and lower with the airmatic button on the dash and has never sat on the ground obviously as i've heard some horror stories about.
As i said holds air on all four corners, can drive it fine but it rides horrible like a lowrider. Oh and i did check the air distribution block as well it seems fine but i would assume if its holding air and can raise and lower that that part works as well anyway.
I had a 3rd party mechanic tell me he read or saw a fault code in the actual strut itself, not sure if thats possible but since it was not a OEM manufacturer strut he wanted to do the dealer dance a just replace with another one. I got a one year warranty on the strut so i can replace that myself as i did with the bad one. But i am running out of things to check so was hoping the community has some answers.
