Moving coolant

I changed the thermostat today and I can't seem to get the coolant moving thru the lines. Tried opening the cap, driving the car around. I also tried squeezing the hoses to start trying to get it moving. It is at perfect tempeRature but it is not flowing thru the tank and pressure in the tank isn't building. Anyone know a trick?

Was it a new thermostat? You drove the car with no coolant flowing?

No but I can open the over flow tank after I have been driving it for a while it hasn't built up any pressure it looks like nothing is moving. I open the cap and the coolant just sits still in the reservoir tank. Is that normal?

You need to bleed the system. There is a contraption to do that.
