Help - Headlights wont turn off!
my S320 2007 W221 has a slight issue.
When i turn on the ignition or start car the headlights come on full.
If i change the settings on the light switch in side car, nothing happens - on any setting!
The DRL option works fine for the lower lights.
When i pass through a tunnel the screen sat nav switches to night mode, so i assume the day/night sensor in the car is working.
Any ideas please?

they are different sensors for screen and headlights. one dimming doesnt mean the other is turning on and vice versa.
car needs to be read with das and determined if DRL option is turned on as well as if the light sensor is plausible.

The headlights serve as daytime running lights. Depending on the country your vehicle is configured for, there is an option to turn them off using the steering wheel buttons. Your vehicle was definitely not a US configuration since S320 vehicles were not available in the US for your model year. Canadian vehicles do NOT have the option to disable daytime running lights. Look at your owner manual for information about daytime running lights.
