Voice Control Module Issues?
So my S550 is starting to have the VCM problems I've read about in these forums. (Freezing and restarting Command, Receiver cannot hear me, Voice Control Button not working)
I did a search for this but could not anyone that has actually replaced it besides one person saying it was plug and play and most others stating they couldn't get it to work. Some people say that it needs the STAR to be reprogrammed for your vehicle for all the functionality to work.
So my question is has anyone else been successful in repairing this themselves. If so, what's the level of effort and did it fix all the issues. I really don't want to spend $2600 just to get this fixed. I just spend $800 to fix my suspension pump.
