I finally got the rear bumper off. Way harder than the front in my opionion. I think I made a mistake assuming the Skelton of the rear bumper would be the same as the 07-09. The bumper I bought came with no plastic Skelton parts in the rear just the cover. Has anyone swapped the plastic pieces. Looks almost impossible to take off the old one as the tabs seem melted to the bumper. Ahhh ohh. The setup looks slightly differnt too. Anyone have part numbers???

Anyone have any suggestions or know the part numbers to the inside bumper? I think the dealer won't sell the Skelton piece they are saying its part of the bumper?

Got the rear bumper on. Bought that plastic piece out of California for $200. Hopefully if someone sees this they won't buy a Rear bumper without that cradle piece. Mercedes won't sell it so you will have to bother 100 ppl on eBay and hope one person will sell it. Anyways scheduled to have the rear exhaust put on tomorrow. I'll
Post the extra parts I had to buy and prices. Roughly I'm at $3000 with me doing all install work except pain . All parts are oem except front grille and exhaust. I'm very happy.

As to help anyone who takes on this project this should save you many hours with the parts counter...Im not a professional in any way and figured this out with no special tools. It could be done in 1 to 2 days easily if you have all the right parts.... This was everything I needed to buy and I used some brackets off the old bumper, such as the side rear bumper brackets.. I actually wound up taking the old fogs lights off my old bumper putting the old fog lights inside of them so they stayed sealed. I than zip tied the old fog lights up inside the bumper so you don't see them and black taped everything so no light shows if the old fog lights ever come on.

Final breakdown of part numbers and cost finished project to convert 2007 AMG package s550 to 2013 S63

Front Bumper $500 A 221 885 30 25
Rear Bumper $250 A 221 885 18 25

The front bumper needs 3 impact absorbers
A 221 885 8337 $116 Middle one
A 221 885 6137 $60 Left side
A 221 885 6237 $60 Right Side

Bottom of the bumper has whats called a "Stay" keeps it in place on bottom.
A 221 885 0136 $40

A 221 885 2053 $50 Fog light plastic grille Right side
A 221 885 1953 $50 Fog light plastic grille Left side
A 221 885 0953 $88 Front Mesh plastic on bottom of bumper

A 221 820 1356 $258 fog light left
A 221 820 1456 $200 fog light right

A 221 885 25 23 $50 Right bottom corner plastic that wheel liner will sit behind
A 221 885 26 23 $50 Left side of this

A 221 885 2325 $185 rear bumper diffuser
A 221 885 32259999 $101 rear insert that goes into the diffuser

A 221 440 33 09 $35 Fog Light harness wires so you don’t have to hardwire the fog light to the side marker. Not needed but makes installation much more clean and gives you extra wire.

A 221 885 20 23 $32 rear bumper holder in bottom corner
A 221 885 21 23 $32 other side rear bumper holder in bottom corner

A 221 885 32 14 $28 bracket that holds the rear diffuser to the car Right side
A 221 885 31 14 $28 Left side same bracket holds diffuser to the car

Rear bumper cradle $200 (make sure you buy one with this installed don’t make my mistake see pics in post)
Exhaust tips (eBay) $260
Howell grile (eBay) $229

Paint Bumpers $407
Weld exhaust tips $35

$20 in misc push pins that you might break.

Total Cost

$3364

oem, I hate putting stuff on my car that isn't oem. So far only non oem is tail lights, grille, exhaust tips... I wanted to upgrade the mirrors but don't think non oem will work correctly with cheap quality and I can't find out if oem 2010 + will wire in with no problems.

I kept asking if anyone knew if the eom 2010+ mirrors would be a plug and play fitment for the 07 to 09 but couldn't get any help. So to keep on my conquest to do a complete oem facelift I have purchased oem mirrors and will find out for myself. As keeping true to logging all part numbers to help someone out there

mirror oem numbers
221 8103 193 Driver
221 8102 893 Passenger

Cost $600 eBay

Going to have them painted tomorrow and will let you know if the harness's work

If anyone is interested in my white current ones they are mint. Let me know.

First off I have had a lot of help from members on this board so I figure it's my turn to do some typing and maybe my post can help others. This is the start to my 2007 S550 AMG package facelift to 2010-2014 S63 AMG (note very important not to put an S63 logo on the back just because it looks like one) I know there is a bunch of posts on here with people doing it but I'm doing it with mostly OEM parts except for the exhaust and front grille. However I have searched a lot of the boards and never got all the information in one spot. So I'm gonna make this detailed so someone can just come here for all the information. Important note, I have the AMG package installed on my S. If you don't have the AMG package it is more detailed than my post. From my little bit of research you would have to change out at least fender liners and some more parts. Ok here is the parts I bought with part #'s and prices so you can figure out how much this is gonna cost you. The bumpers I was smart and got good deals on eBay but the other parts your not gonna find on eBay cheaper than parts.com. Everything but the bumpers, grille, and exhaust tips came from parts.com

Front Bumper $500 A 221 885 30 25
Rear Bumper $250 A 221 885 18 25

The front bumper needs 3 impact absorbers
A 221 885 8337 $116 Middle one
A 221 885 6137 $60 Left side
A 221 885 6237 $60 Right Side

Bottom of the bumper has whats called a "Stay" keeps it in place on bottom.
A 221 885 0136 $40

A 221 885 2053 $50 Fog light plastic grille Right side
A 221 885 1953 $50 Fog light plastic grille Left side
A 221 885 0953 $88 Front Mesh plastic on bottom of bumper

A 221 820 1356 $258 fog light left
A 221 820 1456 $200 fog light right

A 221 885 2325 $185 rear bumper diffuser
A 221 885 32259999 $101 rear insert that goes into the diffuser

Exhaust tips (eBay) $300
55 tech front grile (eBay) $250

The fog lights in the picture were the wrong ones so I gotta ship them back and return them for the part number listed above.

Going to take the bumpers to the body shop and have them painted. I got everything figured out except the issue with the fog lights. I have heard if I hook up the existing fog light wiring to the new ones it will throw a code. Research has shown that I can buy a 50 ohm resistors but they get hot and can over heat. Another option is to tap the side markers and get it from that. Still have no clue how to do it. With this bumper there are no side markers, some have them some don't on the s63 depending on year. So I'm not sure since I don't need my side markers anymore if I could just use the wiring and hook it up to the fogs. I'll update you when I figure it out. Maybe someone knows a solution to get no error for both having no side markers now and having the fog lights on. So this is where I am at now. I'll make posts when I figure stuff out.

Gonna attach photos of the stuff.

is it possible just to do the Daytime strip conversion? (I have 09 S63) thank you!
