Night Vision Aim and Rain on trunklid
Hey guys,
Just got back from a 700 mile road trip with my new S550, a few interesting things came up during the trip that I was hoping to get some help on.
- The night view assist works well but it seems like the camera is aimed too far to the left, I'm seeing much more of oncoming traffic rather than directly ahead. Is there any way to correct by myself or is this a dealer fix?
- Rain on the trunklid dripped into the sides of the trunk when i opened it up after driving through the rain. Is this normal? I have the trunklid opening limiter turned off so perhaps that is affecting it and it is opening too high up? Most of the rain did fall through the channels along the taillights but there was enough to be dripping into the two sides of the trunk for me to be concerned.
Thanks!

If I'm not mistaken, the nightview lenses are in the headlights. Are your headlights aimed correctly? I would certainly start with a simple alignment test aiming at a wall to double check.
The water/trunk thing is an anomaly. If you're concerned next time after a very hard rain you may want to manually slow down the speed that your deck lid opens... In the words of a seattlelite who knows rain defenses

As for the trunk and water, thats a good point, maybe I need to try slowing it down slightly next time after heavy rain.

MBWorld Fanatic!
This is a calibration of the Night View Assist the dealer will need to adjust using their diagnostic equipment.

they do (in German, but should be understandable);
I would guess its mostly for correct height adjustment (relative to
car suspension), but they also mention right/left at the end of the video.
