Help with check engine light
Hi everyone. I recently just got a check engine light with code P0301*2 and P0430. I know the first one it have to do with coil and spark plug . But I had no idea what's wrong with the second one? I want to work on it by myself .Do anyone know where I can buy the OEM part and what diagnostic tool you guys suggest? The price at the dealership is too ridiculous. I had a 2012 S550 with the biturbo V8. thanks every one .

For tHow many miles does the car have? Start with changing out the spark plug.
A code P0430 may mean that one or more of the following has happened: The catalytic converter is no longer functioning properly. An oxygen sensor is not reading (functioning) properly. There is an exhaust leak.

Get it to the dealer or an indy who owns and properly knows how to use the STAR diagnostic system and have it properly scanned, even if you plan on doing the work yourself. It sounds like you may have a bad coil or two. I'm not sure if your motor has individual coils or a coil pack. Individual coils are a lot cheaper. The turbo motors seem to go through the coils a lot faster than the NA motors.

If you can't do your own work then take Dave's advice and take it to Someone with Star Diagnostics(or its Chinese equivalent).
