Loss of Power when driving

While driving the car has lost power and the engine light came on. Engine light stays on for a few hundred miles and goes off.

I recently changed out the fuel charcoal filter. I also switched out the crankshaft sensor in the back of the engine when I had a fuel pump module failure -- about six months ago.

I received the codes P0335, P0444 and P0447.

Thoughts?

I just ordered the W221 repair manual as I have had nothing but problems with my 2007 S550.

p0444/p0447 are purge control valve circuit open.

When you changed the charcoal filter did you plug the solenoid connector back in?

P0355 is the crank position sensor, what prompted you to swap it when you swapped the fuel pump module? It's likely a bad sensor since all it's really doing is sensing magnetic pulse from the flex plate, but worst case it could be a bend in the flex plate, which you can check by shining a flashlight through the hole where the CKP goes and turning the engine by hand checking for anything out of round on the flex plate. Chances are though it's a sensor. If you bought an aftermarket one as a replacement, buy an OEM replacement from amazon, I've read that the aftermarket ones are crap.

I had to move the car before the replacement came in; so the car did start without connector being plugged in.

So those two codes are old and outdated.

It was recommended when the car wouldn't start. In theory I can put the OEM one back in and see if I get the code again.

It was very hard to switch it out from the top side of the engine.
