CPO Refund
Finally got my refund for the unused portion of CPO on the S550. $1480.11. The process is f'd up though. You need to request it thru the original selling dealership. They'll have you sign for the cancellation, then MB CPO (not MBFS) will send the money to the dealer. It shows up on their books as a parts credit (?). They then cut a check to you. Refund is based on remaining miles or remaining time, whichever is less.
I paid $4500 for the coverage, and it paid for almost $10k retail in repairs, then refunded $1500, so all in all worth the money, although I probably should add in the $2k bump in the selling price for it being certified. Still a good deal, and of course no deductible and no squabbling over shop rates or parts prices. Actually no squabbling at all. Dropped it off, grabbed a free Danish and coffee and got in the loaner car.

sounds good, glad you were able to get it resolved. BTW, I am using a C300 loaner, and it is kind of interesting, has what I would call a S-class replica interior.

Yeah, it definitely benefitted from the work MB did on the 222 interior. Very pretty, especially with the leather option and contrast stitched dash. It drives quite a bit lighter and feels sporty compared to a 221. I enjoy it around town but for long hauls I'd prefer the S.
