Fogged Headlight

Fogged Headlight
My passenger side headlight has been getting a lot of condensation in it lately after car washes and rainfall, after inspecting it I noticed a cover on the rear of the headlight had come off, would this cause the condensation or should I be looking at another cause.

Certainly could.
I would reinstall the cover. Then allow the heat created when the headlamp is on to dry the condensation.
Am guessing condensation is a real problem in Vancouver.

I'm assuming your headlight is halogen. If the headlight lamp makes insufficient heat your wife's hairdryer might work.
If, however, the headlight is led its unlikely it will make enough heat to do anything.
I'll be in Vancouver next month for my granddaughter's wedding. Perhaps I should bring a raincoat.

So I drove around for a few days and the headlight cleared up, now its parked and has been raining and its getting fogged up again, does anyone know where the breather/drain vents are located, I think they may be plugged.

Seal may need to be cleaned or replaced. Remove unit, lens is attached with spring clips. Seal replacement should be left 2218260158, right 2218260258 (need VIN to confirm).
