2008 S550 4Matic and 2014 E350A Cabriolet
front end lower than back
Hi: Just bought a 2008 S550 4matic. Love it. I notice that the front end is lower than the back end. Is this normal? Thanks, Bill

no its not, but it is normal for the air shocks to die, which yours have.

Yeah, the car is normally pitched down a bit towards the front. When the struts go the wheels are right up inside the wheel wells. You'd know it if the struts were dead.

My rears rode like **** but the car seemed to sit normal. Replaced and now it rides like it should.

eh? fender clearance on front is less than in the back. the car is pitched forward by default.

park it overnight and take note of the four corners clearances. if in the morning you have big difference (more than say 1/2") on one corner - then you might have an issue.

Make sure it's not just during parking. When I park, my nose drops slightly - but if I stop and get out - the front is even with the back.
