That's the exact same set-up that I used to run on my Chrysler 300 SRT8. The stock Brembo pads were ridiculously dusty and the Centric's cut down at least 90% of the dust.

Braking was very similar when the weather and roads were dry in normal driving, but stopping distances definitely increased when the pads were wet. The Centric's do not have the same bite as the stock pads. As long as you know what to expect and adjust accordingly with more pedal pressure when wet, you'll be fine.

If you are the type who takes his AMG to the track, be sure to swap the stock pads back on for the racing as they perform MUCH better than the Centrics. The Centric's do not disburse the heat nearly as well as the stock pads and you'll experience lots of brake fade under intense braking.

The wrong temp range for track use for sure.
Thinking about a set for Renee's 2005 SL55. Half the price of Akebonos!

Pretty much a no brainer for very similar performance. But several members here tout Akebono's as the best thing since sliced bread and claim that they have better braking performance than the stock pads. Those folks live in a fairy tale world.

Make that one quarter the price. Rockauto has them for 23/25 per axel for her 2005 SL55.
