Best dustless pads for 2011 S63?

TIA,
Vince

If you are able to see what I'm writing (as in not actually being on your ignore list), Centric Posi Quiet pads are very low dust and grab with only slightly less force than your stock Brembos. I replaced the Brembo pads on my SRT8 with the Centrics and 90% of brake dust was eliminated. There is no pad that will get rid of 100% of dust as they are all friction material.

Nice! Thanks for that!

Manofsteelpt 01-23-2017 09:26 PM

Do they make them for the S63? I haven't been able to find any.

compaddict 01-23-2017 10:01 PM

I have not seen much of anything.

DaveW68 01-23-2017 11:56 PM

Centric Posi Quiet

Front: 104.12890
Rear: 104.12900

You can find them on Ebay and other vendors.

Too bad he won't see this.

compaddict 02-03-2017 11:03 AM

My Amazon says they don't fit my 2011 S63?

compaddict 02-03-2017 11:05 AM

I thinks Amazon is wrong.. Thanks I'll grab a set.

DaveW68 02-03-2017 01:15 PM

They have about 95% of the bite of the Brembo pads, and about 10% of the dust. Be sure to properly bed the brakes after installation to avoid squeaking and to get better braking performance.

sakodik 02-03-2017 01:36 PM

Its amazon! If it doesn't work, you can return it for full refund. Anyways, I use Akebono for all my cars, s55, s550, lexus, but they did not make one for the C63 according to my shop.

compaddict 02-03-2017 02:25 PM

Normally I would mate with fresh rotors and bed them in. I thinks I will have the rotors lightly surfaced first. The fronts have been replaced once but the rears have a larger ridge.
Thanks everyone! (Dave & Mike too)

Benz rotors usually cannot be cut. They are too thin. You will likely run into pulsation issues in a short period of time if you trying cutting them and slapping on new pads.

And I was damn proud my "bad boy" status with you. I guess I need to try harder. :naughty:

It's an S63 for Christ sake, spend the extra 200 bucks and get new rotors. Turning them will only mean they warp the first time you get on the brakes and hit a puddle. The rotors are super easy to swap and you will not have to worry about it again. I have never been a fan of pad slaps on a high end very heavy car.

Manofsteelpt 02-03-2017 06:52 PM

$200 for new rotors??? Where?

superpop 02-03-2017 07:02 PM

I got mine at Rock Auto for around 250 bucks but they have less expensive versions.

compaddict 02-03-2017 07:28 PM

My 2005 S55 rotors were 60.00 each. This car, not so much. I will replace them when they need it but not before. I was thinking or just taking the outside ridge and a few high spots.

Do I need to turn anything off (like SBC) before working on this thing?

compaddict 07-13-2017 01:34 PM

New pads installed. Will check in about the brake dust in a few days!

Did a free set of super fly Cooper tires come with those brake pads?

Which pads did you go with? And are you running them on OEM rotors?

compaddict 07-17-2017 04:21 PM

Centric Posi-Quiet and stock rotors.
Vince
