Command center, no audio radio/sat issues..HELP!!!

I have a 2010 s550 with 57k miles. Out of the blue while I was driving, my radio went silent and would not move from the station I was listening to. I tried switching to satellite radio and it all of a sudden says "device not available". The dvd also will not operate. The nav system shows the directions but I cannot get any audio whatsoever. A day later still the same. Radio shows the same station and wont move abd the sat still shows "device not available" Still no sound from any audio systems. I tried pulling and inspecting all associated fuses but no luck with that. Called the dealer but all they would say is that they would have to diagnose it for their $129.99 diagnostic fee.
Has anyone ever encountered this problem before? I am trying to see if I have any other options prior to taking it in to the dealer for diagnosis. Any help or suggestions for dealing with this would be greatly appreciated.

Slight typo in the original post. My s550 has 75k mils and not 57k. Not sure if this matters with my issue.

Literally any device in the fiber optic loop can fail (Sat radio, navi, terrestrial radio, DVD changer, voice control, audio gateway (amp).)

Since it's a closed ring where each device passes signal to the next, one dead component shuts the whole system down, because the loop is broken. Spend the money for the diagnostic. You could spend ten times that trying to replace stuff thru a process of elimination. STAR will tell you exactly which component(s) are bad.

If you want to try something beforehand, get the fuse map out of the spare tire well in the trunk. Check every fuse associated with COMAND. There are fuse blocks in the dash end-caps, between the rear seats, and under the hood.

@Mike5215

Mike, you sound like you are speaking from experience. Have you had this to happen to you previously? I will be checking the fuses once again before setting an appointment with the dealer next week. Any additional input you can provide will be great though

I did get a diagnosis. Appears that I need my amplifier replaced. Was quoted $1300 for replacement with one year warranty.
