Seating upgrades 2008 S550
Hello all,
In my S550, I have the dynamic multicontour and massaging front seats. These features are beginning to be inoperable due to leaks in air chambers, etc. The seats are in otherwise near perfect condition. My question is, I wanted to see if I could replace the seats with 2010+ S600/S63/S65/Designo front seats with the premium leather or quilting.
Is this possible? Are the hardware and connectors the same for these seats? Or would I have to search for 07-09 seats?
Despite their good appearance, the padding is getting quite flat in the seats and beginning to feel a bit too hard for me, also, even though the seat ventilators are fully operational, the air doesn't seem to blow through the perforations anymore.
What do you think? Can these issues be rectified or should I replace them, and if so, can I go for the nicer facelift seats from the finer models as listed above?
Thanks!!!

I won't pretend to know if the 2010+ seats will have the same connectors, but based on the way MB usually does things I'd seriously doubt it. If something as simple as taillights didn't use the same connectors, I don't see why complex seats would.
Even if they do work, I don't think it would look very good unless you also replaced the door cards to match the new look. At that point you might just want to start looking for a new car all together.
