My car gets a random CEL that just seem to come and go. Never really figure out the problem until the other day, I noticed this:




Perhaps I never noticed this before, but on every other car I know there is a metal flap that prevents you from inadvertently filling diesel into the gasoline tank. Is mine missing or did this car never have this?

Of course, the diesel nozzle is usually a little bigger… but what does that have to do with whether or not there is flap missing?
