Blind spot/pre-safe unavailable in heavy rain?
During the past week my area has experienced very heavy rain. Every time I've driven in the heavy rain my 12 S550 will display "Active Blind Spot Assist Currently Unavailable See Oper. Manual" and "PRE-SAFE Function Currently Limited see Oper. Manual" in the center speedometer in bold yellow text. The display will alternate between the two messages until the engine is restarted which will clear the messages. The BSM system appears to be shutting down the rear radar sensors and switching the mirror displays to low-speed blue.
I looked in the manual as the system suggested but I could not find anything related to this.
These errors only appear in very heavy (low viability) rain. Is this a normal safety shutdown due to what the system perceives is interference from the rain?
