Brakes and rotor replacement

The time has come to do the brakes on the S class. This is a job I will be doing myself. I was curious to know the experiences of others who have done the job themselves if it was straight forward or unnecessarily complicated. Will I need any special metric tools?

For those who changed their rotors, did you go OEM or pick up a nice aftermarket set like Meyle or Brembo? Brakes pads I was looking for something that would be grippy but low dust.

I did the front ones on my CL 600,it was a breeze, you need metric tools. I have used OEM rotors and pads.

Akebono for pads for sure if they make them for your car!
Ninety percent less dust judged by eye.

Oh sure...this has to be good advice since it comes from a former vendor who was trying to steal forum member's money, was booted because of his shenanigans 19 months ago...and is now setting up fake accounts to promote a non-existent product.

I have them on my BMW. What a difference they make.
