Is this a good deal 2007 S600?

Hey guys. Planning on picking up an S600 here. I know the caveats of the V12, have owned one before. I plan on doing a lot of my own work as it comes up (just hoping it doesn't come up too soon)!

Anyway found an 07, black on black, second owner that is in pretty great shape. 65k miles. No accidents. Has all the standard features, nothing additional that a 600 didn't come with.

Owner put 2 piece 20" wheels on it. I don't personally like them, but would plan on getting a factory, or close to factory look set and selling these. I looked them up, and the wheels cost over $3000 when new. Maybe could break even swapping these out for another set that I prefer.

Anyway, I looked, smelled, and drove the car. The maintenance has been regular, with an ABC pump and turbo coolant gaskets being done recently. At 40k miles had new mounts (all regular problematic things).

We agreed to a price of what will END UP being 21k out the door (all taxes included, the price we agreed on is less of course).

What do you guys think about this price? Market and book prices seem to be all over the place on these cars. I know I can get a car with more miles for a few k less, but I just want to make sure I'm not grossly overpaying here. Thanks!

I would say since you are familiar with the V12, and seem to know the 600 fairly well and have not indicated any issues that you have discovered, that isn’t a fair price. The wheels are something I agree with you on, but if they are desirable by certain demographics of folks, perhaps you can sell them and get a more desirable wheel. How is the leather and carpet? Does it have Distronic Plus as some early 2007 models did not.

EDIT: The original message was supposed to say “that IS a fair price”.

It is NOT a fair price is what you are saying correct? The car is definitely NOT perfect. The interior is pretty darn good. The exterior has a very little amount of wear.

The wheels I will likely break even, spend a couple hundred dollars (wheels and tires).

Maintenance records are pretty good. The thing I like is the lowish 65k miles. Most of the listings I see have 100k miles or right around. What do you think is a more appropriate price?
Thanks!

I’m sorry - I was a victim of autocorrect and edited the original post. I meant to say that I feel it is indeed a fair price.

My S600 has lower mileage, and has been a reliable car overall. I knew with the complexities and technology built into them they would not be a simple push rod V8, but the safety features, raw power, quality construction, and understated style make it a wonderful and fun car to own.

Price is right. If you know what you are getting in- get it. I would if I was entertaining an old s600.

2007 S600, 2007 Chrysler 300 SRT8, 2000 C5 Corvette, and 2017 Mustang GT, and just got a 2023 300C
I bought a 2007 S600 Designo interior with 55K miles for $24.5K. I think you have a nice deal going.

Good Luck!
