Where is the easiest place to tap into accessory power?

Hey there,

I took a bunch of video today of installing a screen mirroring multimedia interface on my 07 W221. Only issue is I tapped into the power line coming from the back of the radio which is a constant source of power and I don't want it to drain my battery.

Does anyone know the easiest place to tap into accessory power in the W221 that will route nicely to the rear of the command center?

Any ideas you have with some instruction would be very helpful. Thanks!

There are fuse blocks on either end of the dashboard that have switched 12v. I forget which specific circuits are switched so a voltmeter or some trial and error.

To access the blocks pry the dash end panel off with a flat head screwdriver (there's a notch in it for that purpose)

Another way would be to tap into front cigerette lighters power which is only on with ignition so will never drain your battery!! I used this when i installed an interface so i could have my reversing camera on a 2007 s320cdi which worked a treat and never gave any problems!!
