Because there are twisted pair wires going in to it, it's likely a CANbus distribution block.
In MB world this might be called the "CAN Distribution Block", "Distribution Block" or "Potential Distributor"
Is there an MB part # embossed in the plastic? It will likely have an 004 prefix.
