AC question………..

Sometimes the Air Conditioning is working fine, and sometimes will just not go on at all. Even though the control panel indicates otherwise. Any thoughts, or suggestions greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Very complicated system and without the diagnostics, you are left with the finger in the wind approach, my WAG is faulty control unit and or low refrigerant or one of ten sensors is faulty! Stat tearing the car apart and do some testing!

Uuugghh! That sounds like a real pain. But, a mechanic with diagnostic software would be able to pinpoint the problem?

Are you serious-----that's why diagnostic software was developed. To help define the cause of why a system has faulted!

Good point! I think my use of the term “diagnostic software” could come under the realm of oxymoron. I initially pictured a mechanic tearing everything apart manually, wiping the grease off his hands, and telling me to come back in 2 weeks.

I am once again amazed. I would strongly suggest you do more reading on "oxymoron". Also would love to understand how your thought process could come to define "diagnostic software" as an oxymoron!

Well, Mr. Plutoe of 9000 plus posts, I'm glad that you're amazed, and quite frankly I'm amazed at your condescending tone. I came on this forum to ask what I thought was a basic, simple question. Instead you seem to have taken this opportunity to critique me on my content, which I guess breaks the monotony for an individual that spends his life posting on a forum.
