Just bought a used 2013 S550 with splitview, should it come with it's own headphones?

I just bought a real nicely equipped S550 4M 2013 and it has splitview as well as the rear entertainment system. I have the 2 headsets for the rear, but thought the splitview came with its own ? Am I wrong? It seems in reading the owners manual, it implies that it should. I asked the dealer and they said no, I have to buy the extra headphone for the splitview. Is this right?

Hi,

No, it's not right. The Splitview came with headset and remote control.

Yep, should have a single headset and the remote.

Splitview should come with one remote, there's a holder in the glove box for it, and 2 sets of wireless headphones (at least mine did).

It works like a dual display hologram and is super cool. The driver will see all the normal functions he normally see's, but the passenger and rear passenger side will see the movie at their angle. Very cool.

Something neat I also like is the wireless remote lets you control the whole car from any seat. You can even make a phone call from it if you phone is connected blue tooth. The remote can control the entire car from any seat. Also, you can add this remote to any w221 with an optional module.

Update on this... I had to call MB USA and get them involved. They did confirm that indeed this option did include it's own headphone and since the car was sold certified that they should have included it. MB USA called the manager at the dealership and had to tell them to get one for me. My salesman called me and now confirmed that they are going to include it and will order it for me.

Don't take no for an answer from these guys...I thought it should of included it. I just wish I didn't have to get MB USA involved.

Don't forget the remote control - you can't do much with Splitview without it !
