Hi,
I have changed the belt without taking out the fan. I think you can change the idler without taking out the fan, but its tight. You do not need to take out the radiator to do this work.. If it were me I would take out the fan since you can drop it straight down if the car is high enough. Its tight in there and it will take you awhile to get the idler pulley out and back it with limited room. Taking out the fan gives you the access room that makes it easier. If you take the fan out below measure the fan and the distance below to make sure you have the car high enough before you start.
