Thumbs down AC WILL NOT TURN OFF, 2010 S400 hybrid... please help

I have the switches in the center of the car under the display screen... I can turn up the power of the blower on each side.. it blows cold, it blows hot .. everything works fine ...

but it when I hit the off button in the dead center .. it's like "nah bro, I don't want to turn off, let me switch back on real quick"
ive tried long pressing the off button and it will turn off for a second or two sometimes a minute, then it will turn on again....

please help me

there are few hvac modes where ac is forced. Front and rear defrost (rear depends also on few other things), and all recirc modes. If defrosts are off, recirc is off and ac is still engaged and cannot be turned off- it is either a sticking compressor clutch or software problem.

May or may not be related but check routing of A/C compressor harness per attached service campaign. If applicable, repair is free.

If you have forced the engine the LIPO battery pack is heating and the ECU overruns your comand to stop the AC until the battery pack is cooled down. This happens in all old hibrid configurations.hope it helps others...

Yes, Mercedes literature states that the S400 AC is used to cool the hybrid battery and user can not turn it off, by design.
