S600

W221 strut problem

I have a 07 S600 w/abc non amg with two bad struts front and rear both on driver side. I ordered an aftermarket strut from
arnott industries but it will not match up with the lower mount. Anyone else had this problem ? Trying to avoid having to buy two new struts from mercedes.

Did you order the right shock? Doesn't sound like it.

Dont believe you have ABC. That is hydraulic. Doubt they went bad. I have them on mine S65

I looked them up and it looks like you have to take the bottom off yours and swap it. Didnt look right to me either and I just rebuilt my entire front end.

The S/CL 600 with abc have the same struts as AMG ones, at least that's what Arnott was telling me when I have ordered a left rear back one a couple of years back and they were absolutely right...I would call them again.
