Backup Camera Question

Hello,

I have a 2007 S550. I was given a backup camera with dash camera kit for free from my brother, so I decided to try it out. When I hook it up like he instructions say to my reverse light, the reverse camera only stays on for a few seconds and then changes back. It keeps doing this until the car is out of reverse. Is there a better place to wire it?

Thanks

I would try a relay and not a direct wire option. The relay takes the connection to kick on a full power supply to the lead. Might work better to help you resolve this. Could be any number of issues, so this could also not work.

German cars seem to have low voltage pulsing reverse wires so i used a plug n play interface then a relay in the boot ran the reverse detect from reverse light to interface problem solved i put interface underneath screen behing center vents theres space for it i did that on my 2007 s320cdi and i also did it on my audi A8 which had the same issue both were resolved with relay and plug n play interfaces good luck!!
