Front suspension dropped/slammed intermittently

Front suspension dropped/slammed intermittently
Wondering if any one has had a similar experience.
Im driving on the expressway doing about 60 mph when I get an airmatic malfunction on the dash. Steering gets a little stiffer and rear a little bouncy. I pull over and see the front end of both sides are dropped. Turn the car off and restart. No airmatic malfunction message so I hit the airmatic lift button and watch the entire car raise up to the raised position. Hit the button again and car sits fine at standard ride height.
The car car drove fine until I got back on the expressway and hit about the same speed. Same exact sequence of events. Car was “reset” and back to normal.
Any suspicion of what it could be. Pump seems fine and both struts seem to fill and hold just fine.
