I saw this s600 earlier on BAT and started thinking about possibly getting one (not this one) but are they that problematic if you can do the basic repairs yourself and would you avoid 2007 model for any reason ? I understand the suspension can be problematic/expensive but any other major areas -- curious to see what this sells for (not affiliated in any way shape or form to this car)

I bought a 2007 s600 last year and I love it. I think the Seats and door panels get a diamond-stitch pattern in the 2008+, which looks nice, but otherwise they look the same. If you can change a strut on a normal vehicle, you can work on the ABC suspension when you have problems in the future. It's good that they replaced the pump already so you shouldn't have to worry about that. There are other components that may require service, but there are write-ups to DIY. I haven't had problems yet, but I'm confident that with the help of this forum and youtube, I can make most repairs myself. I have 85k on mine and runs strong.
