Airmatic Issues
Hello friends,
Long time lurker here. I bought my '08 S550 second hand with around 70k miles on it in 2016. I've been thoroughly enjoying it and have only done basic maintenance thus far (oil change every 3k miles.) Now I'm up to about 83k.
Well my first problem (hopefully not of many) has come about as of this past Friday (the 1st of Feb.) My front right strut appears to be broken? I am not sure if that is the case. The car essentially is sunken leaning towards the front right (passenger side) wheel. When I turn the engine on, the car rises a bit, and balances out slightly -- but the car still majorly tilts to the front right.
My question is: do I just order 2 new arnott front struts? I read somewhere that they should be changed in pairs. Or should I just take it to my mechanic and have him make sure its not some sort of fuse/compressor/minor leak issue? I want to make sure of the problem before I drop $1500 on parts. Please advise. Thanks all.

First step, check for leaks. Nothing found, have someone pull codes using MB diagnostics. If strut actually failed, cost effective choices RMT rebuild, or Arnott @ 83,000 - note MB recommends replacing both sides 40,000 >.

Much appreciated input. Will drive it over to my mechanic tomorrow to check for leaks.
Also, RMT struts seem like a viable and affordable option. Will likely opt for those if struts are indeed the problem. Cheers.
