Private seller, what do you think its worth, SW USA car,, no snow, all MB dealer service records, always garaged
thanks for any help new to MB 1 yr ago bought an s350 with 60K on it but missing some gizmos I'd like to have.
I assume you mean that it's a 2007 S550, not a 2006. You should be able to pick that up for around $12k. If it's going to be your daily driver, you should budget around $10k per year for repairs and maintenance...perhaps more. The engines are solid and should last a long time if properly maintained. But at the age of that car, it's going to have lots of expensive repair bills all the time.

If this was my car, I'd hang onto it and hope to get 200,000 miles out of it. With all the customizing, you'll have to find a buyer from a small group of enthusiasts if you hope to get paid for the nice work. I agree that the wheels could be sold separately, if you still have the originals.

My S550 only has 21,000 miles and still no takers

i posted my ad here for my pristine 2110 S550 with 21,000 miles. I’m only asking like $26,000 or so. Not one email. The car is beautiful with a dark Borelo red exterior. The color of a dark red wine. I still get compliments in parking lots. I had the ceramic treatment applied two months ago which will last three years or so. Perfect looking. Even the swirls in the paint job are removed. Interior is a beautiful light color of cashmere. I’m in Sacramento and soon Palm Springs.
Point is I have all of that and no takers. Oddly enough I’ve been offered $$25k as a trade-in for a 2016 S550 Coupe if dealer sees car and agrees to my description. And this is one of those Sonic sellers that are “no haggle” sells. I’ll soon find out.
My guess is people might run after seeing all the money you’ve poured into the car. Maybe it should be a good selling point but I think not.
If you get $7,000 as is, it would surprise me. I’d guess more like $4-5k.
I do hope you get much more.

Sounds like a fair price for a 2010. The problem is the color. Anything other than black, white, or silver is considered an oddball color on an S-class. That is likely why nobody is biting here on the forums. If the dealer is giving you $25k in trade, that is a much better deal than selling it outright for $26k as you'll get the tax credit for the trade.

Post a pic Joe, I dont think ive ever seen that color. I traded my 2010 diam white/black w amg sport package w 50k miles 3 mos ago and got 24500 trade plus tax savings. Plus it had the 20" wheels. W a close to 2k tax credit your basically getting retail nmbr and dont have to deal w people kicking tires. I did have 1 30k offer that In hind sight I should have jumped on.

Sold for $13500 for anyone who might be wanting to figure out values of their car. I had a lot of interest even an offer for $15 but never heard back. I think it was fair the mileage creeped to 131,000 and I didn’t want to take the chance holding out for $1500 knowing if you look at this car the wrong way it costs 2 grand. Anyways the 221 has been a fun experience I love that car and think I’m going to jump to the 222 and start all over! I did a long post on all oem part numbers on the conversion I did with this car hope it helps someone who wanted to do a facelift.

2006 S430 AMG
I would say $10-13k as the car will most likely sell for about $15-18k at a used dealer.

Just seen this. You got good money.

Great lesson to be learned from this, S class is a great car to buy on a used car market!
