DISTRONIC optional?
ACTIVE LANE KEEPING was an option through 2012 i believe...Went standard on the W222 if my brother is to be believed, was standard on his 2014 S550

I think the lane departure and blind spot were in a Driver Assist package.

The 221 came with Distronic Plus, this gains more radars and can drive and stop itself in heavy traffic (as the additional radars can see stuff close up either side). Early software had a lead foot (you can temper by dropping distance back 2 clicks) and beautifully judged braking, later software had granddad on the throttle and a nut job on the brakes. If it stops for more than a split second in traffic you have to "flash" the cruise lever or touch the throttle to pull away (so it knows you are still awake)
Most with Distronic Plus also get BAS Plus …. it monitors how you are driving and if the radar is confident a crash is likely (sadly it doesn't bother to brake - even though it knows exactly how to do it !!! ) but it will beep and if the amount of braking needed is high it will activate Pre Safe Brake, so when you bother to initiate braking, it will pre arm the air bags, move the seat to a better crash position, ****** the seat belts, pump the side cushions up and stand on the brakes with enough force to try and miss the car you are about to hit regardless of how delicately you are braking.
I wouldn't buy a car without active cruise control
