W221 V8 harmonic vibration
Apologies if this is a repeat question. I have searched but found no such question anywhere, so here goes.
I have a W221 with the M273 engine, and the car has recently picked up a strange engine or transmission vibration
Recently the car stood for four months and upon starting it, the vibration was particularly bad. I have not started it again.
The vibration comes and goes when the car is in neutral and the rpm is raised. It is noticeable at any engine revolution
This car had the engine balancer shaft and bearings replaced a few years ago. I am however converned as I do not wish the engine through this vibration.
Could anyone please shed some light on this?
