2007 non AMG foglight upgrade?
Anyone swap out their halogen fogs (H11) with LEDs? Any brands to avoid? I won't run them often but the halogens look lame under the factor HID headlights. Or, maybe swap in some ambers since that's what foglights are really for. I assume you need a load/resistor to avoid errors and flickering?

Yes, you'll need to either splice in load resistors or get a canbus kit. Most our customers do an HID fog conversion to match the HID low beams. We carry top end Morimoto kits if interested. If you wanted yellow fogs, it's simpler as you can stick with lower temp range halogen bulbs like PIAA Plasma Ion or Nokya Hyper Yellow. Although I get what you're saying with yellow being proper functioning fogs.... unless you live in a fog filled area, most will see it as very tunerish.

Thanks for the info. Tell me more about your kit. Which color most closely matches OEM HIDs? I don't want a tuner look AT ALL. Will I need new housings for the kit? Will the light spray all over the place like a tuner car?
thanks

This is the kit you'll need if you want to match OEM HIDs:

Your lighting spread will be basically the same with HIDs vs the halogen as they're true 360 degree output using the same reflector housing. Focal point is different, but the fog reflector housing is so small, won't make a meaningful distance in terms of throw distance. Kit is functionally plug and play canbus kit so no error codes. The only additional work you'll need to do is cut a small hold in the back of the dust cover to feed the wires through from the bulb to the ballast.
