new member need help please

hello you guys im new to this forum i was hoping i can get a bit of help.

so here is my problem my mom has a 2012 s550 4matic and front passenger side airbag or air suspension got mest up so it was replaced and the mercedes dealer added a new module for idk what it was i forgot..

now the problem is when ever the car turns off and sits for more than 30 min the front passenger side drops like drastically like slammed all the way i can't fit a finger in the wheel and the fender.

but when the car turns on obviously the car levels in a couple of seconds and the car is perfectly fine..

is there like maybe some sort of reset on the leveling when shutting off the car or how does that work???

when the car is running on normal roads or on the car is perfectly level

we don't have no cel codes no check suspensions codes nothing......

anyone here had this issue or a similar problem...

MBUSA repair & parts are covered for 12 months/unlimited mileage, have dealer revisit.

there probably is a calibration, but they should've done that when they replaced the parts. To me, it sounds like there is a leak. When the car is running, the pump is on and ride height is normal. When you shut it off, the pump stops working and deflates in that corner.

Sounds like a bad strut or a leak.

if there was a leak do you guys think it will inflate a lot faster than up to 40 min..

there is times where if the car is driven through out the day the car will not slam is more like

it slams when the car really sits there and the car starts to lower on is own..

all other corner lower normally while that one side drops to the ground lol

cesarortiz23 follow this man's advice above. He knows his stuff.

40 min to level is way to long. My 2012 levels in seconds. FYI I have replaced both front struts and compressor. Airmatic problems can get worse in a hurry. I would head to the dealer sooner than later.

Good luck.

oh i think you didnt understood me..

i meant to say that the car takes up to 40 min to an hour to inflate or slam..

the car levels in 15 seconds. or 30 seconds

when i start the cr for example in the morning cold start front strut is SLAMMED the car levels in quickness.

now if the car is driven through out the day the car will not slamm.... only time the car will slamm is if it sits for over 40 min or an hour then thats when all 4 airbags start to lower and obviously the front passenger side drops drastically..

As stated above there is a leak. If one strut deflates quickly it is likely the strut. Don't keep driving it because the compressor can keep it inflated but is running more than normal and will go out and need to be replaced prematurely. Eventually the strut will degrade to the point the compressor can't keep up.
