Whirring noise from inside cabin W221 S320

So i had a annoying whirring noise coming from the inside of the car, thought it was the blower motor at first as when you switched the climate control /fan off it stops , replaced the blower motor and resister but sound still there, I've just noticed that the fan is silent and works fine when the engine is off but start the engine and this annoying whirring sound comes back , the AC isn't blowing cold air either ? pressure is good in the system but i think it may be the compressor knackered , any one got any thoughts ? thanks in advance

Problem solved

I found the source of that noise after removed almost all the dashboard . There is an independent cooling system for multimedia devices. The fan blower is located under the steering wheel near the console (after removing the cover under the steering wheel you can see a pipe fitted to the cooler assembly, other than two heating system pipes which are go through the cover).
Here I attached a picture with the annoying cooler.

Your issue might be the water recirculation pump if it is linked to the climate control. If you turn the ignition on so the climate control starts blowing but the engine isn't on, then pop the bonnet open and have a listen near the firewall you should be able to track down the noisy pump. Sometimes readjusting it in its bracket might suffice. Otherwise a new pump is needed.
