Airmatic malfunction

I got an airmatic malfunction on my 2008 S550, took it to the dealer and got this:

: CUSTOMER STATES MALFUNCTION WARNING LIGHTS ON DASH 0.00 *TROUBLE SHOOTING WARNING INDICATOR ELECTRICAL.: AIR SUSPENSION MALFUNCTION 0.00 *SEE NOTES FOR DETAILS: fault codes 2586, 2585, recover time is filing to long. ..compressor vent valve is not sealing, and possible leak from valve block to strut. (meaning valve block, line or strut) would like to start with air compressor, valve block, and relay. 0.00 Airmatic Suspension Compressor: compressor and valve. and retest system. 1583.95
Debating wether to fix this or switch to coils for the same cost. Car has over 100k miles. I replaced one strut last year. Dont know if it makes sense putting more $$ into the suspension.

It really depends on how long you plan on keeping your S550. I really love mine (140k miles) and would absolutely fix whatever is broken because I plan on keeping it, but in my case I am the warranty (lift in my garage, factory tools, Hazet tools, by the book, etc.) If you're thinking of selling it I would think the prospective buyer for a car of its age and miles may not care whether it had factory suspension or aftermarket springs.

Thanks, I was also thinking of replacing the whole system. I checked online Arnott has remanufactured struts looks like I can get the whole setup with compressor for under $2k with sending in my cores.

^^^^^ +1 - Same here.
I am absolutely in love with this car after just 3 short weeks of ownership. Mine has 144K miles on the clock and I plan on keeping it for a VERY LONG TIME and take care of whatever it needs.

If you sourced the parts from parts.com and did the work yourself you would save big. Coil overs??? That's pretty radical and a whole lot more work.
