A dealer fix—Distronic
My 2010 CL is my first Mercedes with Distronic ... and basically a 2-door W221, so asking here.
Where I often drive I can find myself miles from anywhere, seldom seeing an oncoming car for long periods. Believe it or not, owners manual says it’s normal for cruise control to shut off given this condition. It’s in the owners manual under error messages.
the only remedy is to stop, shut off ignition, and restart. As I noted, I’m in the middle of nowhere and this option isn’t so cool.
So, anyone know whether a dealer can program out this “feature?” I could, btw, live without any Distronic feature. This one is kind of stupid I think!
