Fiber Optic Bypass Loop for MOST Issue
My COMMAND system has been acting up lately. When I start the car, the Mercedes LOGO comes on for a few seconds and then restarts. It gets stuck in this loop. If I keep hitting the Radio ON button over and over again really fast, it finally boots up and works normally.
I believe I have an issue with MOST ring. Seems like one of the components (Amplifier, Navigation, Radio etc.). I want to troubleshoot the MOST ring by individually connecting a fiber optic loop/bypass to each component one by one to find out which one of them is failing. I'm trying to identify the correct bypass loop and need some help.
Ebay/Amazon shows that the following bypass will work on my car (2007 S5550 W221):
https://www.ebay.com/itm/Fiber-MOST-...9XBfD2&vxp=mtr
But I saw a video in which the mechanic was using a completely different type of a bypass loop:
Can someone advise if the eBay bypass would work?

Fiber optic bypass
Hi everyone,
This post isn't new, bit I'll still share my workaround. I have some issue finding the right loop for my 2005 w221 and I have made one:
1st get a fiber optic loop of any brand
Optical ring
2 Extract carefully the optic fiber and I use a piece of straw from my kids juice and adapt it
Fiber ring installed with straw pieces
Then electric tape
I know it's awfully but it works perfect
then my faulty part is bypassed
