Armrest starting to wrinkle... Fix???

I love this car, and it's perfect. About 30,000 miles, yes, it's a gem. The armrest just started to wrinkle a little and yes, it's driving me nuts. Other people have made posts about this and I can't find them, but there was a trick to fix this. I think something with a hot steaming towel? Any tips on something that really works??

Had the same issue on my W211 E320.

Take a heat gun and heat the leather, but stay far enough away from it NOT to burn it. Heat it up real good and then take some ice cubes and place them all over the hot leather. This method will shrink the leather due to the ice being applied to the leather.

Take a towel with you to wipe up the melting water. You may need to do this twice, but it worked real well for me and stretched the leather real good for me to no longer having any issues.

As mentioned, just be careful with the heat gun. I tried a blow dryer, but that did not work as it did not get hot enough.

Good luck, keep us posted!

I think I have to do this also as my center arm rest is also getting the wrinkles. Are there any instructions on how to just remove the cover so that I can heat it up outside the car?
I feel like it is better to do it outside the car so that the othe rparts of the console do not get wet etc etc
Thanks,

Seems quite intense compared to how I fixed mine.
