2007 S550 - Cigarette Lighter/Power Plug not working
The Cigarette Lighter/Power Plug on my '07 S550 does not get any power, so I cannot charge my cell phone. Rear Plug works. Is there a separate fuse for this? The ring around the plug is however illuminating at night, so I am assuming there is power?
Is there possibly a simple fix for this anyone can point out, do I need to install a new plug?
Thanks very much in advance.

When I bought my car I found the same thing and traced it to a blown fuse, separate from the rear lighter. Replacing the fuse, I found it blew again so I started poking around to see what could be the issue. It turns out the previous owner/driver must have used the ash tray as a coin tray because there was a penny in the bottom of the lighter providing a short to ground! Removal of the penny and replacing the fuse fixed the issue for me.

So if I understand you correctly, there is a separate fuse for the power plug itself, which is not connected to/with the illuminating light ring around the power plug/lighter?
I will have another closer look, but I do not believe that there is anything at the bottom of the lighter, so replacing this fuse should hopefully fix my issue.
Could you provide location of this fuse, as well as possible description so I can find it? Do you remember?
Thanks very much in advance.
