W221 air con condenser removal and replacement

Does anybody have experience of, or the repair manual instructions/illustrations regarding carrying out this procedure on an 2007 -S Class-W221_s320cdi- 235HP-VIN WDD2211222A157100?
How difficult? How much time? Any information appreciated. Thank you in anticipation.

Not sure f there is an easier way, but you might have to remove the entire instrument panel to start with. No big deal though according to this detailed video:

Isn't the condensor the thing between the radiator and the front bumper?

Ahh, I was somehow thinking of the heat exchanger...

Yes, correct. The condenser is in front of the radiator, the evaporator is under the dash.

As for time to complete (not sure what the cost would be) I would guess most of a day. When I replaced my S550's water pump, hoses, radiator, thermostat, idler pulleys and belt earlier this year as preventative maintenance it took me 4 hours.

You would need to remove;
- the cooling fan
- the coolant
- the radiator hoses
- the radiator
Also will need to evacuate the A/C system if it is still holding pressure (perhaps not and the reason why you're replacing the condenser?)
Need to replace;
- the receiver drier
- the condenser
Add oil for that which is lost due to the condenser and receiver/drier replacement - sorry I don't have the exact amount, but you'll need PAG46 A/C oil
Reinstall all that stuff above that had to come out to get to the condenser
Evacuate the system with a vacuum pump and verify no leaks (e.g. system holds -25psi for 30-60m)
Recharge A/C with r134a

This is all from memory but should qualify for the 'any help is welcome' category.

Also if the car has never had the radiator replaced, you might consider it due to its age. These plastic-ended radiators have a nasty habit of leaving you stranded if you ignore them.
