Cam magnets replacement made easy

Cam magnets how to Hey guys recently had to change all 4 cam adjuster magnets. The indy quoted me 500 for labor and parts. With the correct tools i was able to change all 4 magnets without removing the oil cooler and power steering reservoir. I made a video after the fact to give people on here a better look at what i did and tools that were used. They hyper link above should take you to the video.

Nice, I wish I had seen this when I did mine. Ended up sending to an Indy to have the one behind the cooler done.

Dont feel bad i was about to send mine into the indy to because i wasnt up for taking the oil cooler apart now that i think about it if i was smart i would have done an oil change before i did the magnets and whwn all the oil was sucked out the car then remove the oil cooler if need be but it was too easy with the tools i showed in the video but i will be changing my oil cooler gasket soon so next oil change that will be checked off the list

I took my car into my indy to have alternator changed and when they did diagnoses codes came back relating to all 4 cam adjuster. Once i replaced them the codes went away within 30 miles of driving. To answer your question though there isnt any addtl steps before and after. Just get the 3 screws out, remove electrical connector, you might have to take out the sensors they sit right next to the magnets it to give you more room , then wiggle the cam out replace with new one, and put screw back then reconnect electrical connectors , thats all it took to save me so much money. Could you see the tools clearly in the video ?
