2006 W221 transmission & camera
High
I got the car a month ago.I tried to change the cigarette lighter fuse yesterday.I removed many fuses & put them back Today when I tried to use the car,the transmission gives a loud sound when put in D or R.The car moves but does not change gears .The rear camera stopped working also.I visited a mechanic who said that the transmission computer has to be changed.
Any clues? Why the transmission & the camera both stopped working.

If you are sure that you put all fuses exactly where you removed them from..... then yes the transmission on these cars is really common to have a failure of the computer inside. But if you removed a fuse and didn't put it back in where it needs to go, you might be missing power to the transmission and the camera controller.

Dear MBENZTECH
You are right .I did not put one of those big black fuses back. Now I have a question related to the same situation.
I drove the on first gear because of this for about 20 miles .The RPM was a little more than 3.
Do you think this might have any effect on the transmission?
Thanks & regards
