P0894 and transmission up to 3th gear. Help
Hello to everyone !
I have w221 s320cdi 4 magic with 7g tonic (722.9) transmission.
I have replaced gearbox oil about 1 month ago and it was perfect.
Yesterday I drove the car all day, as usual , but in the evening when I have finished work and drive to home , my car has 1st, 2nd and 3th gear. There is no from 4 to 7 gears...
The reverse is working perfect.
I checked the transmission with diagnostic and there is only one mistake P0894 which means : Transmission component slipping.
I check oil - it is perfect.
Please, give me your opinions.

I had this same issue, I took the pan down, took the valve body out and removed the solenoids one at a time and cleaned them (carefully) via a youtube video I saw. No mechanic would touch my trans (including the shop that flushed it to cause the issue) after it was screwed up. Did that about 1500 miles ago and no hiccups since. I will tell you replace ALL the bolts you remove. Do not skimp...you will break them off.
