Rear ac controls
Hey guys
I was wondering if this even possible or not but is it possible to retrofit the rear ac/heat controls on the back of the middle console. I am wondering if the plugs are there but just hidden. I will post a picture of what I am talking about. I think it’s a cool retrofit. My car is an 07

Can certainly swap that piece out, but there will just be the normal air coming though the vents and no controls for the Rear A/C otherwise. I recently replaced the rear A/C fan for my car and there is quite a bit to this setup, including coding of the car to enable Rear A/C.

This is probably not feasible. The rear A/C (CODE 582 Rear air conditioner) isn't just the button panel and software coding. There is a completely separate rear evaporator unit, refrigerant lines, blower, and air distribution box in the center console that goes between the front seats. This is why the front-center armrest compartment in cars with this feature is substantially smaller and shallower than those with just regular air conditioning. There are additional solenoid activated valves that control refrigerant flow to the rear unit, and an additional heater valve as well.
