Hello all,

I hate to make my first post here a maintenance question but here we are!

We recently purchased a 2013 S550 from a local Mercedes dealership and we're about 1,000 miles into ownership. I popped the hood to do a high beam replacement (any suggestions on nice bulbs? ) and I noticed the driver's side intake hose had/has a big tear in it. I bought all data to hopefully a part number/replacement guide but I found nothing. Anyone know the part number for this? I've tried sites like eBay but a lot of the parts are listed for the motor before the 4.6.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, thank you for looking!

Those intake hoses are so brittle, I've gone through four sets of hoses. At one point MB made a hard plastic hose that was in MY08 S550. Wish they would have stayed with that design

 

I’m looking for new airduct inlets the new ones they use for this car are trash and rip easily they used to be originally way better hard like mesh material I guess they stopped making them I have a 2011 s550 na does anyone know if the 2011 s63 ducts would work they seem the same size but obviously have a different engine lmk ?

 

That is a good question. Mine were destroyed as well. I guess the only way to find out is to actually get them and try them on...
