W221 2007 Instrument cluster failed

Hi,
Please help I have a w221 Mercedes 2007 the instrument cluster gone dead the indicators not working mirrors not folding in. I have checked the battery and all the fuses and all seem OK. Would anyone advise what could be the root cause. I had water leak in to the car front well through front windscreen seal. Can this be a cause or is it the cluster. I have attached the diagnostic tester but no codes can be read as it says no communication.
I would appreciate any help or advise.

Many thanks

The real short and correct solution is to find someone with DAS who can preform a short test thereby provide you with the correct why.

Many thanks for the reply The RAC carried out the diagnostic test and could not communicate with the car and no fault codes
DAS is this a mercedes diagnostic

I have also noticed I can not even switch the head lights on or off

If by RAC you mean the auto club (British version of AAA) then they would have only done a basic test (ie. to check for codes that would set a Check Engine light)

What Plutoe meant is using DAS to do a Quick Test. Yes, this is a Mercedes tool. All dealers have it, and quite a few independent shops that specialize in Mercedes.

As Plutoe mentioned, have your car tested first to find out the exact issue before you go changing parts. Instrument clusters can be rebuilt (BBA-Reman is very good for example) but you need to 100% make sure that is the problem you are having otherwise you'll spend $$$ chasing the problem. Proper diagnosis is the most important thing.

If you can't turn on the headlights, that sounds like more than the instrument cluster to me, but I could be wrong. I think the problem may lie elsewhere but only a proper diagnosis will give you the answer.

Before MB DAS (diagnostics) quick test check fuse 25 & 39 @ front SAM (engine compartment).
