Driver side mirror folding motor
My driver side mirror folding motor gave up the ghost on 2013 s550. Hen the folding function is initiated, the housing moves a bit, but does not fold fully. I can hear the motor trying to move. I looked at the WIS and found the instruction on how to remove the motor. WIS labels it as M21/1m3, but I cannot find corresponding part number for this motor. Do any of you know what part number this is?
Thank you in advance for any help. Greatly appreciate it.
Regards,
Ivan

Here is an update on this issue. The folding mechanism is definitely NOT made to be disassembled and repaired. I was able to take the mirror off the car, remove the glass, mirror motor, cover, etc., but to get to the folding mechanism, I had to cut off the sleeve that holds the spring and the folding motor in place. I did not take any photos, but it appears that the sleeve was expanded by flaring tool of sort to hod the spring in place. No way to disassemble without cutting. As expected, the motor was dead and probably could be had for few bucks on Amazon.
I ended up buying the mirror base from MB (around $200), which includes the entire folding mechanism, positioning motor, wire harness, and all parts needed to mount the base onto the door panel. Comes in pieces and requires assembly. WIS sheet was of great help. At least this kit is designed so it is possible to disassemble it without cutting the parts. Simple retaining ring holds the spring in place. Not a difficult job, but it took me awhile to get the old base out.
